The best thing about belly dancing is that it is a way for women to take time for themselves, have fun, make new friends, improve fitness and learn a new skill. We try to promote it to all women – of any size, age, culture, shape, background or ability.
In 2011, Candice started an initiative called the Phoenix Belly Dance Scholarship which is available to all students who have a serious desire to further their instruction in Belly Dance and develop their interest and passion in the dance. We’d like to help dancers to realise their potential and to encourage their interest in belly dance! Our recipients have all grown so much in this dance form, it has been a pleasure to witness.
