Must-Know Rhythms Course Part 2,

4-week course

Explore the heartbeat of Middle Eastern dance in our 4-week course designed for dancers of all levels who wish to further their understanding of the rhythms used in belly dance.

In this course, you'll discover four more rhythms and their role in traditional, folkloric and modern Egyptian dance. Candice will take you through engaging combos and exercises, and you'll learn to identify, count, and interpret these.

You do not need to have attended Part 1 to join Part 2. This workshop is perfect for belly dancers at any stage of their journey—whether you're just starting out or looking to expand your knowledge. Combos will have variations for beginner to experienced students. Drummers and Zillers welcome.

Sa’idi Assaya Course, 8-week course

Dive into Sa’idi with us!

This course will focus on practicing and developing assaya/stick technique. We will also learn and refine movement combinations (combinations that will be used in future courses that focus on learning a full choreography).

For this course, participants need:

  • At least beginner level with belly dance

  • Basic introductory experience with assaya (stick). (For example, if you have attended the Saidi origins and connections course, that is enough to qualify)

8 weeks will be divided into 2 parts:

  • First 4 weeks will focus on beginner-intermediate techniques and combos

  • ⁠Second 4 weeks will focus on more challenging techniques and combos

  • ⁠Students can choose either part, or do both (Beginners are welcome to join the second part if they attend the first 4 weeks.)
